Today is unseasonably warm in the Hudson Valley – near 90 degrees in some places, while just a few days ago the temps dipped into the mid to upper 30’s. I still haven’t placed all of my tender seedlings into the ground but have opted to keep them on our screen porch where they’ve been cared for for weeks.
I did attempt a few herbs last week and when I was uncertain about those dipping temperatures I remembered that I had saved several milk cartons last year to use as mini greenhouses to protect tender transplants. Not very attractive, but they worked great.
