Country Living In The Hudson Valley

This past weekend, my girls and I took to the back roads of the Hudson Valley to attend the Country Living Fair in Rhinebeck, N.Y. This was our first time at this event and my only regret is that I didn’t buy the three day pass.  What a relaxing day, filled with shabby chic vendors, antiques, cooking, crafting, gardening, and all things #CountryLiving!

There were also a bunch of workshops throughout the weekend to choose from.  (Now can you see why I regret not getting the three-day pass?).  Being that I’m new (one year) to raising chickens, I chose a “Gardening with Chickens” workshop with Melissa Caughey of Tilly’s Nest – her blog is great (I secretly want to be mentored by her – short of bee-keeping, I love everything on her blog, how she writes, how she thinks and all she knows).

And finally the girls and I were super excited to meet and listen to expert DIYer, Cari Cucksey from HGTV’s Cash and Cari.  We love her show on re-purposing furniture AND I think my girls finally understood my passion for stopping for roadside goodies (much to their childhood embarrassment) and bringing new life to old stuff.

All in all we had the perfect day!

The Country Living Fair sounds like so much fun. Wish there was one close to Austin, Texas!

It was fantastic! You can find fairs closer to you at Stella Show Mgmt. Co. On Facebook. I believe they have Georgia, Tennessee, and Ohio locations as well.
