Yesterday, many of us gathered together celebrating Mother’s Day. I’m forever grateful that I still have my mom here but am very mindful that my husband does not. I couldn’t help but feel a tug of pain for him and the many family and friends who have lost their moms. Our moms play an integral role in our lives, despite the relationships we may or may not have had with them.

Today’s Media Monday from Ryan Stevenson is a reminder that when life changes, it’s okay to cry, it’s okay to fall apart and there’s healing in the story of our scars.

I’m grateful for the faith of my mom and that she never gives up praying for me, this will be her legacy, as is the legacy of all moms. It is their love that will hold us together and will carry us through the difficult moments of healing and hope.
